On June 28, 2020, our company organized an expansion activity themed as "Efficient Communication, Collaboration and Win-win". First of all, I sincerely thank company for giving us this opportunity to team building. As one of team, I felt the spirit and culture, which made me love Siyoto even deeper.
This one-day expansion training gave us brand-new experience: teamwork、 trusted communication、 mutual cooperation、 potential stimulation and other spirits are cleverly interpreted by games.
During the game, after the victory of teamwork, we were happy and excited, and loudly said to our teammates that we were awesome. And I felt the power of teamwork. When our score fell behind, we are lost and depressed, but we will comfort each other “It’s okay.” And I felt the team’s tolerance and understanding.
We also understand that whether it is games or work, we need to have a clear division of work, leadership, assistance, supervision, cooperation, and a lot of cheering voices. There will be no good result if everyone always hoe his own potatoes or do things in his own way. Instead, it will greatly reduce everyone’s confidence and motivation.
The high-altitude challenge is really the most difficult project for me. I didn’t even dare to stand up after I climbed up. At the moment I stood up, I couldn’t hear any sound except that my heart was about to jump out, which may only be experienced by people who are afraid of heights. I dare not move or jump. I want to want to climb down, but I can't live down to the expectations of the coach and my teammates.
I tried to calm down. With the encouragement of my teammates one by one, I slowly gathered up the courage to jump forward. Although I could not catch the pole, I felt that it’s my success to jump off. I believe in that my teammates will be able to protect me. I think I would definitely climb down the pole in a desperate way if there were no teammates under me at the time. It was my team that gave me courage to challenge myself.
When crossing the graduation wall, we need to step on the human ladder built by our teammates. The upper partners tried their best to pull, and the lower partners raised their hands next to each other to protect the team members who are climbing.
The teammates acting as ladder persisted and forbeared, having their backs upright, letting their teammates to step on their thighs and shoulders and holding their feet with full strength, even though sweat dripping down the hair、 face, and soaking clothes. When they turned around, there was no pain or complaints on their faces. Their shoulders were red, their collars show footprint, and even their necks showed deep prints of being trampled. But when the coach asked if they need someone to replace, they shook their heads firmly. As if to say, “Rest assured, my partners. I will definitely insist on getting you all there.”
At that moment, I was really distressed, and my eyes were filled with tears. I wondered how much perseverance was needed to achieve this extent? And how could we think that they were boys, they were tall and strong, so they should be human ladders? They were also people of flesh and blood and emotions.
They were no different from us, except for a heart of dedication and dauntlessness. They were too selfless to asking for return. And their only hope was that the team can complete this challenge. I was very grateful that Siyoto has people like this.
I thought I loved them, loved their selfless dedication, their perseverance, their courage and responsibility, their positive energy. Even though their faces were covered with sweat, and their clothes were dirty. Those still unable to stop them from shining, exuding charm, passion and enthusiasm they brought to the team.
Looking back to the process of climbing, teammates below held my feet with their hands and lifted me up. I felt physiologically insecure and lost my strength, but I was sure that they will definitely be able to protect me well, and the partners above can smoothly pull me up. At the moment I went up, gratitude and excitement filled my heart. But there were still partners who did not cross over. I suppressed my emotions and hold out my hands to protect them. When we watched the last partner being pulled up, our tense emotions relaxed.
At the beginning, we set a challenge time of 60 minutes. When the actual challenge time--20 minutes and 55 seconds was shouted out by an excited voice, I looked at the human ladders, and tears that had been suppressed for a long time burst *** my eyes (even now writing this article, the tears is welling up in my eyes). The feelings of distress, touch, gratitude, excitement, pride, and shock were about to overflow from my heart. If we didn’t have this group of partners who are willing to be human ladders, can we succeed? If we don't have our partners from above to pull us up and below to protect us, can we have the courage to climb up?
They are not only our beliefs, but also our motivation. A team not only needs roles like human ladders, but also roles to pull and protect people. They are all indispensable. The strength of the team is far greater than the strength of the individual. All the difficulties can be solved by a team united as one.
I have another insight from this activity. Usually everyone are busy on matter on or after work. We do not seem to have the time or energy to contact people from other departments. We say hi to those who are a little familiar. But for others, they are like strangers on the street.
After this event, we got deeper impressions of others. We put everything aside, like real family members, hearts of each are close to each other, and we feel the burning spirit as a team. Finally, I would like to say to all the partners in this event and the staff behind the scenes, “Thank you guys for hard working!”
And there are a lot of long-winded words that I won’t express here. Thank the company again for giving me this opportunity, thank you!
